La Finca Roja
La Finca Roja is a building of great historical and architectural value that catches your eye as you stroll through the peaceful neighbourhood in the centre of Valencia. Its broken brick facade and quiet, green central courtyard act as a small sanctuary in the heart of the city.

Its creator, Enrique Viedma, aimed to create dignified and comfortable homes for the working class moving to the city in 1930. Building upon this same framework, we have created a timeless architecture based on construction quality and proportional spaces.
The concept of the project was to keep in mind the origin of the building, with its materiality and solidity, and to project it towards the garden. A private interior space where one can isolate from the city and listen to the birds singing and the wind rustling the trees.

The house was originally segmented into numerous rooms, so we decided to create spacious areas while always preserving the old construction solutions. We retained the mosaic floors and uncovered the building's skeleton in the ceiling and pillars. There are no false elements or additions. Exposing the copper installations of the radiators and taps not only optimises and economises the installation but also creates very interesting contrasts.

The space is furnished with pieces of great value and tradition, such as the Cesca B32 chairs by Marcel Breuer, restored for the occasion, and Danish-style armchairs that accompany the Italian marble tables. In contrast, there are more contemporary pieces that complement the Valencian hydraulic tiles that adorn the floors throughout the house.
