House in the hills

Using light as a material, reflecting the Mediterranean landscape through a consistent palette of soft textures and subtle finishes.
Located in the heart of "Colinas de San Antonio," this single-storey house built in the 1980s features whimsical construction due to the varying ceiling heights and setbacks that create several porches.

Our challenge was to maximise the small, dark rooms within the home without any alterations to the exterior of the house.

We created a living room that extends into the garden, integrating the interior and exterior as one and allowing the enjoyment of natural light. During the day, natural light enters through the large windows, enhancing the room and capturing the essence of a simple and enduring home.

The materials remain soft, refined, and unpretentious. Light grey concrete floors are complemented with touches of rattan, jute, and light oak.
